Client Information

Thank you for choosing Animal General for your veterinary needs!
The following information will help us best serve you and your pet.

General Information
We allot 30 minutes for our general exam appointments to allow us ample time to discuss your concerns and to examine and treat your pet. We ask that you please notify us if you feel you are going to be late or if you need to reschedule your appointment.

For your pet's safety, and the safety of our other patients, it is required to have animals on leashes or in properly ventilated carriers at all times. We do not recommend the use of any substitute carrier such as a gym bag or book bag, that is not specifically made for animal transportation

Payment will be due upon the rendering of our services.  We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards.  We also accept Care Credit, which offers you convenient, interest free, monthly payments for up to 6 months.  We apologize for any inconvenience, however we do not bill.

New Client Information
We ask that all new clients arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled exam time to fill out all necessary paperwork. For your convenience, our Welcome Form is available for you to print and complete at home to bring in with you.

Please bring a fecal sample and any paperwork you may have for your pet, including but not limited to, vaccination records and previous veterinary records. You may also fax this information to us prior to your visit at 201-313-1628.

Information for Surgical and Dental Procedures
For your pets safety during anesthesia, we ask that you do not feed your pet after midnight the night prior to their procedure. Also, we ask that you please take away their water bowl in the morning before dropping them off.

Your pet should be dropped off at our hospital between 8am and 9am on their scheduled procedure day. When dropping off, please allow yourself extra time to fill out all necessary paperwork and to allow our staff to go over your pets itemized estimate for their procedure. For your convenience, our Pet Admission Sheet is available for you to print and complete at home to bring in with you. If your pet is being dropped off for a dental procedure, in addition to the Pet Admission Sheet, we also ask that you fill out the Dental Consent Form.
